Fold One, Fold Two...

Have you ever wanted to create something with your own hands? A cup, an animal, or a ship? Well now you can! Origami is the art of folding paper, and you can create many many objects with just paper! Want to know how to turn an ordinary piece of paper into a Crane? Well, just follow along to learn how!!!
BEGINNER:
- Open up Internet Explorer and type this URL in the address bar: http://www.enchantedlearning.com/crafts/origami/frog
- Fold a Frog following the instructions on the website.
- Go to this website: http://www.geocities.com/Rachel_Katz/stories/bunny.htm
- Read the story on the website of THE BUNNY RABBIT OLYMPICS.
- Fold a Rabbit using the diagram on the page.
- Similar to the story of THE BUNNY RABBIT OLYMPICS, write a story incorporating
the characters of the Frog and the Rabbit you have just folded. Before sending
the letter to the WIZ, write two questions to ask the WIZ about the story you
have just written.
GOOD:
- Complete Beginner first.
- Go to http://isorhythm.net/origami/cube.html on the Internet.
- Follow the directions to fold a Cube.
- Type in http://isorhythm.net/origami/fish.html in the address
bar of Internet Explorer.
- Follow the instructions to fold a Fish.
- Do you like to eat fish? Write to the WIZ about your favorite foods and try to convince the WIZ why you think everybody should like it too. Write at least 3 sentences and try to be as persuasive as possible.
EXPERT:
- Complete Good first.
- On the internet, go to: http://www.geocities.com/Rachel_Katz/folding/crane.htm
- Follow the directions to fold a Traditional Crane.
- Complete the Origami Worksheet for this level using the Internet for help.
- Search for "origami history" on GOOGLE in your Internet Explorer.
- Write to the WIZ about the history of origami. Make sure to answer the following question:
What does the story of a thousand cranes tell you about war?
